Collins Law Group accepts referrals from attorneys throughout the Chicago area and nationally on catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. We work as co-counsel or take cases over entirely, depending on what serves your client and your relationship with them.

Our Approach

Defense counsel and insurers price cases differently when they know the firm on the other side is preparing for trial. We prepare every case for verdict from the first deposition forward. That preparation produces settlements at the values our clients deserve, and verdicts when settlement falls short.

Our docket is intentionally lean. Cases receive partner-level attention, and referring counsel stay informed as principals on the matter.

Referral Fees and Co-Counsel Arrangements

We honor referral fees consistent with Illinois Rule of Professional Conduct 1.5(e). Terms are confirmed in writing with the client at the outset of the representation. We do not undercut referring attorneys, and we keep you informed on case strategy and progress throughout the matter.

Depending on the case and your preference, we structure relationships as full referrals, co-counsel arrangements with shared responsibility, or some combination tailored to the matter.
