Stoll et al v. Kraft Foods Global, Inc.
UPDATE: October, 2009: EPA announces Kraft to pay to fix City of Attica's contaminated water supply.
This is a class action filed in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Indiana on March 25, 2009, on behalf of
over 100 families who live in an area in Attica, Indiana that has been contaminated by a nearby manufacturing facility
formerly owned and operated by Kraft Foods Global, Inc.
The Complaint alleges that the air inside and soil and groundwater beneath the properties of Plaintiffs and other residents
throughout the class area are contaminated with various hazardous substances released by Kraft at its nearby
manufacturing facility. The chemicals alleged to have been released by the Defendant into the class area include several
known human carcinogens (trichloroethene ("TCE") and tetrachloroethene ("PCE").
