The Collins Law Firm, P.C.
Attorney Daniel Fabbri balances a deep understanding of the law with a vast amount of business experience, making him an asset
to any trial team where the stakes are high.
Dan brings his diverse business and financial experience to bear as a lawyer assisting clients and fellow attorneys in complex
litigation, aggressively advocating on behalf of a diverse array of clients. As an attorney, Dan’s legal practice is diverse, including
successful verdicts and settlements in civil litigation matters, specifically large scale commercial litigation (including tortious
interference, breach of contract, unfair competition and antitrust); personal injury lawsuits; and environmental contamination
cases, ranging from toxic tort class actions to flooding cases where individuals are exposed to toxic molds.
Dan currently handles a variety of matters, including being part of the trial team that obtained a jury verdict in excess of $4.7
million Dollars in March 2008 on behalf of a woman who lost both her legs as a result of medical negligence after an abdominal
surgery. Dan was also integral in settling a nursing home abuse personal injury case for a woman who died as a result of
contracting necrotizing fasciitis due to the negligence of the nursing home. In 2006 Dan secured a more than $700,000.00
settlement in a personal injury lawsuit involving a semi-truck collision with a clients’ car at an intersection in Yorkville, Illinois.
With respect to environmental cases, in addition to administering the $8,360,000.00 settlement of an environmental
contamination class action case in which he helped represent families in Ohio with groundwater contaminated with TCE, Dan is
currently representing a group of families in suburban Tinley Park who experienced serious basement flooding, causing extensive
water and mold damage. Investigation has revealed this is most likely the result of the actions of a developer and several adjacent
landowners who redirected stormwater causing the catastrophic flooding in their suburban Cook County townhomes.
Dan’s past successes as a trial attorney also include being an integral member of the legal team which successfully won a multi-
million dollar jury verdict in federal court in an unfair competition case. The commercial matter was on behalf of a local family-
owned business pursuing an unfair competition case concerning: dumpster diving, bribery, and other acts of unfair competition by
its main competitor. The settlement following the multi-million Dollar jury verdict was finalized in summer 2006.
Dan has a diverse educational and professional background, having graduated from the University of Illinois in 1999 with a B.S.
in finance. After working as controller of a mid-sized Chicago food producer, he returned to school, receiving his J.D., Cum
Laude, from DePaul University’s College of Law in Chicago, Illinois. Additionally, Dan holds an M.B.A., with distinction, from
DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business. Dan joined the Firm in 2003, and is licensed to practice as an attorney in
Illinois and is admitted as a member of the federal court trial bar for the Northern District of Illinois. Dan is also a member of the
Illinois Trial Lawyers Association as well as the Illinois State Bar Association.
